An extra long All Star break?
The Canucks look like they have taken a extra long All Star Break. Even thought the Canucks have earned 5 out of a possible 6 points the Canucks have looked pretty terrible. The Sedins look like they can be contained easily. If it weren't for great goaltending and line juggling the Canucks could easily be 0-6 in points. The only good news about the Canucks bad play is their goaltending and the fact that we have still managed to gather up points. Canucks fans can only hope that the players can quickly turn around this funk of bad play b4 it starts effecting our points. Canucks continue there road trip in Nashville on Tuesday, and they will be running into one of the hottest goalies in the NHL right now in Pekka Rennie. Let's hope the Canucks can start playing better and come up with a big win. GO CANUCKS GO!

Calm after the storm? A much needed break.
After the Canucks took it to the Bruins just over a week ago in a hard fought dirty, tough game it seems like the players have had a difficult time trying to get ready and excited for their past 5 games. They have looked like a tired team in need of a break, which they have definitely earned as they have currently played the most games so far in this NHL season. They have a 3 day break now before their clash against last years playoff rival the San Jose Sharks on Saturday at 1 p.m. If the Canucks can find the mid season form they were in 2 weeks ago this will promise to be a good heated battle. The Canucks have a bit of a easy end to the month with only 3 games in 14 days. So this is a great time for the players to catch up on sleep have some much needed time with family and friends seeing as these 3 games are all in Vancouver. We just have to hope that this time off will help the Canucks refresh themselves so they can come out with a strong push for the remainder of the season and going in into the post season.
The Canucks are still without Sami Salo after that brutal cowardly hit by the rat himself Bard Marchand. And it looks like the Canucks are really missing him right now too. This might be something the Canucks will be looking for come the trade deadline. It will also be interesting to see what the Canucks will do with Cory Schneider seeing as his contract is up this season and he will more than likely want to go where he can get a starting job. Personally I think the Canucks will keep him for the playoff run and then decode what to do with him in the off-season and maybe trade his rights before the draft. With Eddie Lack coming up in the minors this seems what Mike Gillis will most likely do. But if I was running the show I would try to sign Cory again and keep him around for a while longer. Because as we all know he is a great help to Luongo an the Canicks giving Luongo a rest more often and challenging him to be better and also going the team confidence when he is in net knowing that he will give them a great chance of winning.
