The center of the Universe.

Yesterday afternoon the Toronto Maple Leafs came into Vancouver looking for their first win here since 2003. It was an early start time so people in Toronto could see what real hockey is. B4 the game you could here some go leafs go chants which were then drowned out by "Leafs Suck" chants in Rogers arena. And ultimately that's almost exactly what it looked like out there. Men against boys. The leafs came out hard for the first 10 mins or so and then they were expertly picked apart by Vancouver. Canucks were up 2-0 after the first thanks to hard work, skill, and some bad goaltending by James Reimer. The Canucks continued their schoolage in the second getting a 3rd goal quick but then letting in a questionable one as Lupul pushed Bieksa into Luongo. But the Canucks then ended the 2nd with a couple of sweet goals that had great assists from Toronto players making mistakes. The Canucks chased toronto goalie james riemer. Then in the 3rd each team traded goals and Vancouver won the game with a convincing 6-2 score. It seems all the Sedins needed to get back on track was Toronto as they each put up 4 points and the first line combined for 10 points in total.

The Canucks now sit behind Detroit in the Western conference and NHL by 2 points, but they have 2 games in hand. The Canucks play tomo vs the 29th team in the NHL the Edmonton oilers as the Canucks go on a road trip and play 5 games in the next 7 days. The Canucks currently have 80 points. The Canucks looked all business on Saturday night which means they will not be satisfied until they win the cup. GO CANUCKS GO!

An extra long All Star break?

The Canucks look like they have taken a extra long All Star Break. Even thought the Canucks have earned 5 out of a possible 6 points the Canucks have looked pretty terrible. The Sedins look like they can be contained easily. If it weren't for great goaltending and line juggling the Canucks could easily be 0-6 in points. The only good news about the Canucks bad play is their goaltending and the fact that we have still managed to gather up points. Canucks fans can only hope that the players can quickly turn around this funk of bad play b4 it starts effecting our points. Canucks continue there road trip in Nashville on Tuesday, and they will be running into one of the hottest goalies in the NHL right now in Pekka Rennie. Let's hope the Canucks can start playing better and come up with a big win. GO CANUCKS GO!
